McLuck, PlayFame Jackpot Opt-Out: Sweeps Coins Only
McLuck, PlayFame, Hello Millions and SpinBlitz now let players opt out of their Sweepstakes Coin Jackpot at any time, but say the Gold Coin Jackpot "cannot be disabled", in identical help articles published October 20, 2026.
That is the first time any of the four has named a jackpot funded in Sweeps Coins, the currency that redeems for prizes. None of them publishes what that jackpot takes from you, and none says whether players start opted in.
Can you opt out of the McLuck or PlayFame jackpot?
Each help centre gained an article titled "Can I opt out of the [brand] Jackpot?" between 18:42 and 18:53 UTC on October 20, according to the creation timestamps the help centres themselves report. The text is word for word the same apart from the brand name. From the McLuck version:
Gold Coin Jackpot participation is an integral part of the McLuck service and cannot be disabled.
You may opt out of the Sweepstakes Coin Jackpot at any time. However, previous Sweepstakes Coin Jackpot contributions are non-refundable, and opting out means you will no longer be eligible for Sweepstakes Coin Jackpot prizes.
PlayFame, Hello Millions and SpinBlitz carry the same two paragraphs. All four belong to the B-Two Operations family, though not every brand's terms name the same company.
Read plainly, the article says three things. The Gold Coin jackpot is compulsory. A separate Sweeps Coins jackpot exists and takes contributions. You can leave the Sweeps Coins one, but whatever you have already paid in is not refunded.
What it leaves out is the starting position. An opt-out implies participation unless you act, but the article never says whether a new or existing player is enrolled in the Sweeps Coins jackpot by default, and no other article in the four help centres says how to join it.
Does the Sweepstakes Coin Jackpot cost me Sweeps Coins?
The article implies it does: it refers to "previous Sweepstakes Coin Jackpot contributions" and says they are non-refundable. What it does not say is how much. We searched every article in all four help centres for the word "jackpot" on October 20, and no document gives a Sweeps Coins contribution rate, a list of eligible games, prize tiers in Sweeps Coins, or odds.
That gap matters more here than it did for Gold Coins. Sweeps Coins are the balance you redeem, so any contribution taken in Sweeps Coins comes out of coins you could otherwise play through and cash out. If you play these brands with Sweeps Coins and want every coin to stay redeemable, the opt-out is now the relevant setting. The article does not say where the setting sits, so ask support before your next session if you cannot find it. If the difference between the two balances is still hazy, our explainer on Gold Coins vs Sweeps Coins covers it, and how Sweeps Coins redemption works shows where a smaller balance bites.
What changed since PlayFame launched its jackpots?
On September 29 PlayFame published four Jackpots articles describing a Gold Coin feature that charges 0.5% of the Gold Coin balance or 100 GC per eligible round, whichever is higher. We reported that pricing at the time and noted that none of the four articles described an opt-out, and that none mentioned a Sweeps Coins version.
Today's article moves both points. PlayFame now confirms a Sweeps Coins jackpot exists and that it can be switched off. It also settles the Gold Coin question the other way: that one cannot be switched off at all. The four September articles, all still live, have not been edited to match, so the contribution article still gives a rate "For Gold Coins" only.
The other three brands had published no jackpot article when we checked their inventories on September 29. They still publish no rules for either jackpot today, only the opt-out answer.
How does this compare with other sweeps jackpots?
| Brand | Sweeps Coins jackpot named | SC opt-out published | GC jackpot can be disabled | SC contribution rate published |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| McLuck | Yes, Oct 20 | Yes | No | No |
| PlayFame | Yes, Oct 20 | Yes | No | No |
| Hello Millions | Yes, Oct 20 | Yes | No | No |
| SpinBlitz | Yes, Oct 20 | Yes | No | No |
| Mega Bonanza | No article | No | No article | No |
| Jackpota | No article | No | No article | No |
Mega Bonanza and Jackpota are the family's other two brands. Neither help centre has a jackpot article of any kind as of today's inventory read, so we cannot say whether the feature runs there.
The wording on non-refundable contributions mirrors Spree's Community Jackpot, whose help article also says you can opt out at any time with previous contributions non-refundable. The differences are what come first. Spree says you "must first opt in" and publishes a flat 0.10 Spree Coins contribution and a 60% return to player. Crown Coins publishes its 0.10 SC rate and is also opt-in. Our Spree Casino review and Crown Coins Casino review cover both brands in full. The B-Two articles publish the exit door before the price, and without saying whether you walked in through it.
Should I opt out of the Sweeps Coins jackpot?
If you play with Sweeps Coins at any of the four, decide whether you want to be in the Sweeps Coins jackpot at all, and find the opt-out before you build a balance rather than after, since nothing paid in comes back. If you play Gold Coins only, there is nothing to change: the Gold Coin jackpot applies regardless. Can I opt out of the McLuck Jackpot?
Only the Sweeps Coins one. McLuck's help article says you may opt out of the Sweepstakes Coin Jackpot at any time, but that Gold Coin Jackpot participation "cannot be disabled".
Am I opted in to the Sweepstakes Coin Jackpot by default?
The articles do not say. They describe an opt-out, which implies participation unless you act, but none of the four help centres states whether new or existing players start enrolled, and none explains how to join.
Do I get my jackpot contributions back if I opt out?
No. All four articles say previous Sweepstakes Coin Jackpot contributions are non-refundable, and opting out ends your eligibility for Sweepstakes Coin Jackpot prizes.
How much does the Sweepstakes Coin Jackpot take per spin?
None of the four brands publishes a figure. The only published contribution rate in the family is PlayFame's Gold Coin rule: 0.5% of the Gold Coin balance or 100 GC per eligible round, whichever is higher.
