Chumba Casino App Launches on iPhone With Sweeps Coins

The Chumba Casino app for iPhone and iPad, sold on Apple's US App Store by VGW Malta Limited since October 14, 2026, is the first Chumba app with Sweeps Coins play rather than free gold chips only. There is still no Android version.

Until now the only Chumba Casino apps from VGW were Chumba Lite and Chumba Casino Mini, two free social games with no redeemable currency. When we checked in September, Chumba's terms described an app on paper only. That has changed, and our own Chumba review is now out of date, as explained below.

What is the new Chumba Casino app?

Apple's catalogue lists "Chumba Casino: Games & Slots" (bundle co.vgw.chumbacasino), sold by VGW MALTA LIMITED, first released on October 14, 2026 and at version 1.0.21 since October 19. The listing's own text is explicit about the currency, naming both Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins: the welcome bonus is "packed with free Gold Coins or Sweeps Coins", and the app "is operated under a sweepstakes model for entertainment purposes using Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins." It also says "Sweepstakes play is not available in all states" and that sweepstakes are "sponsored solely by VGW Games Limited."

VGW announced the launch in a release published by Gambling911 on November 2. According to that release, players can use "Standard Play (Gold Coins) and Promotional Play (Sweeps Coins) in the States where Chumba Casino operates both," and "account profiles, gameplay history, and balances automatically synchronise in real-time across both web and app." That sync claim comes from VGW alone. We have not tested it, because the app is US-only.

Chumba Casino Mini, which Apple listed in September, no longer returns a US result when we look it up by its bundle ID.

Can you redeem Sweeps Coins in the Chumba app?

Neither VGW document we read says so in plain terms. The release mentions the "full ecosystem" and synced balances but never uses the word redeem. Chumba's Terms and Conditions v28.0, dated October 30, 2026, say gift-card prizes go to the email address on your account and cash prizes go to the payment method you bought Gold Coins with. The same document still says that "references to App and APK are only applicable if and when these formats are offered/supported by us."

The in-app purchases Apple shows are all Gold Coin packs, priced from $0.49 to $10.00. That matches the rule in v28.0: "YOU CANNOT PURCHASE SWEEPS COINS." Under the same terms, Sweeps Coins come free at sign-up, as a bonus when you buy Gold Coins, or through the free mail-in entry route. For now, the safe assumption is that redemption works the way it always has. You can use the website route described in our guide to redeeming Sweeps Coins until the app shows you otherwise.

Is there a Chumba Casino app for Android?

No. Google Play returns a 404 for the co.vgw.chumbacasino package. VGW Holdings' developer page on Play lists Chumba Lite and LuckyLand Casino Lite (the free companion to LuckyLand Slots), both free gold-chip games. So Chumba's only Android app does not pay prizes. iPhone users get Sweeps Coins play. Android users still play in a mobile browser.

Which states get Sweeps Coins play in the app?

The same states as the website. The app does not create a new eligibility map. It follows Chumba's Sweeps Rules. That matters most in Oklahoma: VGW's October 30 terms took Oklahoma off Sweeps Coins play at Chumba ahead of the state's ban, as we reported on October 30. Downloading the app does not get around that.

Which other sweepstakes casinos have iPhone apps?

Chumba is late to native iOS. Brands from our rankings that Apple's catalogue lists with their own iPhone apps include:

This is not a full list. PlayFame, LoneStar and Sportzino also have iPhone apps; our iOS and Android app table for every ranked sweepstakes casino covers the rest. A store listing shows that an app exists. It does not show what the app pays out. We have not checked in-app redemption at any of these brands.

What should Chumba players do?

• Check the seller before you install. The real app is sold by VGW MALTA LIMITED, and its developer website is chumbacasino.com. If a "Chumba" listing names any other seller, do not install it.
• Do not open a second account. Chumba's terms allow one Customer Account per person. VGW says the app syncs with your existing account, so sign in with the login you already use.
• Keep redeeming the way you know works until the app clearly offers a redeem button in your state.

Is our Chumba Casino review still accurate on the app?

Not yet. Our full Chumba Casino review still presents Chumba Lite as the brand's app and calls it a dual-platform native app. Lite is a free gold-chip game. The app with Sweeps Coins play is the new iOS-only release. The review's Mobile row and its app FAQ are flagged for correction. The 12-criteria score stays as tested.
