Chumba, Global Poker, LuckyLand Bar Sweeps Coins in Oklahoma
Oklahoma players can no longer enter the sweepstakes at Chumba Casino, Global Poker or LuckyLand Casino: new VGW terms dated October 30, 2026 add Oklahoma to the states limited to Gold Coin play, two days before the state's November 1 ban, and set no cash-out window for Sweeps Coins already held.
Oklahoma's sweepstakes ban takes effect on November 1. The versions these documents replace, all dated September 16, 2026, did not name Oklahoma. All three brands made the same one-word edit on the same day: the publication stamps on their terms pages put all four documents live between 04:11 and 04:17 UTC on October 30. We have found no announcement or player notice from any of them.
What changed in the Chumba, Global Poker and LuckyLand terms?
We compared each new document with the September 16, 2026 version it replaces, both still served from VGW's document server. Apart from the version number, the date and PDF spacing, the only change in the Chumba and LuckyLand documents is the word "Oklahoma", added in two places.
The first is the eligibility line at the top of the Chumba Casino Terms and Conditions, version 28.0:
"ONLY PLAYERS IN THE UNITED STATES (EXCLUDING THE STATES OF CALIFORNIA, CONNECTICUT, DELAWARE, IDAHO, INDIANA, LOUISIANA, MAINE, MICHIGAN, MISSISSIPPI, MONTANA, NEVADA, NEW JERSEY, NEW YORK, OKLAHOMA, TENNESSEE, WASHINGTON AND WEST VIRGINIA) ARE ELIGIBLE TO ENTER THE SWEEPSTAKES."
The second is clause 3.1(b), which now bars Promotional Play, VGW's term for Sweeps Coins play, from "THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA" alongside ten other states. LuckyLand Casino's Sweeps Rules, version 7.0, make the matching change to the "Permitted Territories" in clause 1.1.
| Brand | Document | Previous version | New version | States barred from the sweepstakes | Sweeps Coins expiry after last login |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chumba Casino | Terms and Conditions | v27.1, Sep 16 | v28.0, Oct 30 | 16 → 17 | 60 days, unchanged |
| Global Poker | Terms and Conditions | v29.1, Sep 16 | v30.0, Oct 30 | 16 → 17 | 60 → 90 days |
| LuckyLand Casino | Terms and Conditions | v10.0, Sep 16 | v11.0, Oct 30 | 16 → 17 | 60 days, unchanged |
| LuckyLand Casino | Sweeps Rules | v6.1, Sep 16 | v7.0, Oct 30 | 16 → 17 | 60 days, unchanged |
Global Poker's version 30.0 makes one other change a player would notice. Clause 8.22 now reads: "Sweeps Coins are only valid for ninety (90) days from the date you last logged on to your Customer Account". Version 29.1 said sixty. That applies in every state Global Poker serves, not only Oklahoma.
The VGW documents are our only source for the change, and VGW's own location notices have not caught up. The notices served at chumbacasino.com/sweeps-rules and globalpoker.com/sweeps-rules, both of which redirect to a /geo-block page, still list ten Gold-Coin-only states without Oklahoma when we read them on October 30. Global Poker's notice was republished at 00:14 UTC that day, four hours before its new terms, and it still leaves Oklahoma out. LuckyLand Casino is the newer VGW site, not LuckyLand Slots: from our location luckylandslots.com redirected every legal page to a "not available" screen, so we could not read its terms.
Can Oklahoma players still play at Chumba?
Yes, with Gold Coins only. The six states where VGW refuses accounts altogether, its "Excluded Territory", are still Washington, Michigan, Montana, Connecticut, Nevada and Delaware. Oklahoma joins the list of states where you can keep an account and play Standard Play with Gold Coins, which have no prize value, but cannot take part in the sweepstakes. Clause 3.1(b) of Chumba's version 28.0 now splits the 17 states like this:
| What Chumba allows | States |
|---|---|
| No account at all (Excluded Territory) | Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, Washington |
| Gold Coins only, no sweepstakes | California, Idaho, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee, West Virginia |
The terms also say that "Participating in Promotional Play from any territory that is not a Permitted Territory as defined in the Sweeps Rules is also a breach of these Terms and Conditions."
The change applies now, not on November 1. Chumba's terms say amendments "will be binding and effective immediately", and that where a change limits your rights VGW "will notify you upon your next visit" and ask you to accept again before you play.
What happens to Sweeps Coins already in an Oklahoma account?
None of the four documents sets a cash-out window, a deadline or a transition rule for balances held in Oklahoma before October 30. The one rulebook we could read points against payment. Clause 6.6 of LuckyLand Casino's Sweeps Rules says "TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR A SWEEPS COINS PRIZE OR A SWEEPS COINS PRIZE REDEMPTION: (a) A PARTICIPANT MUST BE AN ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANT", and clause 1.1 defines that as "a legal resident of the Permitted Territories", a list that no longer includes Oklahoma. Chumba's and Global Poker's Sweeps Rules redirect to the location notice from where we read, so we could not check whether they say the same. We cannot tell you whether a redemption request from Oklahoma will be paid, and we have seen no statement from VGW on it. That is a break from how VGW handled earlier exits: in New Jersey, Tennessee, West Virginia and Mississippi it published wind-down schedules, set out in our comparison of VGW's state-exit redemption windows.
The law itself set November 1. Section 2 of the enrolled SB 1589, which we pulled from the Legislature's server on October 30, reads: "This act shall become effective November 1, 2026." The bill history records the Governor's veto on May 7 and the override votes in both chambers on May 14. Our read of the SB 1589 text covers what it outlaws.
What should Oklahoma players with a VGW balance do?
- Request a redemption now and keep the confirmation. The LuckyLand Casino rules text suggests a refusal is possible, but VGW has set no deadline and published no policy, so how it answers is the only way to learn how it treats a balance won before October 30. Our guide to redeeming Sweeps Coins covers the steps.
- Ask support in writing whether Oklahoma Sweeps Coins held before October 30 can still be redeemed, and keep the reply.
- Stop buying Gold Coin packages for the bonus Sweeps Coins. Under the new terms you cannot play those coins from Oklahoma.
- Keep logging in. Chumba and LuckyLand Casino expire Sweeps Coins 60 days after your last login, Global Poker now 90, so a disputed balance should not lapse while you wait.
Which sweepstakes casinos still accept Oklahoma players?
The Oklahoma operator tracker follows the brands that have not yet moved. For brands that still pay out where you live, see the state legality matrix and our ranked list of sweepstakes casinos. VGW's operator profile lists every brand it runs.

FAQ
Is Chumba Casino leaving Oklahoma?
Not entirely. Terms and Conditions v28.0, dated October 30, 2026, make Oklahoma ineligible for the sweepstakes, but Oklahoma is not in the Excluded Territory, so Gold Coin play stays open.
Can I redeem Chumba Sweeps Coins in Oklahoma?
The new terms bar Promotional Play from Oklahoma and set no cash-out window. LuckyLand Casino's Sweeps Rules limit prize redemption to residents of permitted states, which no longer include Oklahoma. VGW has said nothing about existing balances, so request a redemption and ask support in writing.
Did Global Poker change anything else?
Yes. Global Poker's Terms and Conditions v30.0 extend Sweeps Coins expiry from 60 to 90 days after your last login, in every state it serves.
