LuckyLand Casino vs LuckyLand Slots: Not the Same Site

LuckyLand Casino and LuckyLand Slots are two different sites: LuckyLand Slots shuts down on August 24, 2026, while LuckyLand Casino keeps running under its own terms, operated by a Malta company called Beells Ltd rather than by the US entity behind LuckyLand Slots.

Two VGW brands, one nine-letter name, one of them closing on August 24. We have covered the split before at the level of launch dates and game libraries, in our piece on why LuckyLand Slots is winding down. This goes further, because the answer is not on either site's marketing page. It is in the terms documents, which we read in full on August 4.

What is LuckyLand Casino and who runs it?

LuckyLand Casino sits at luckylandcasino.com and publishes Terms and Conditions at version 5.1, last updated April 24, 2026. That version number tells you something on its own: the Chumba Casino terms are on version 23.3. This is a young brand.

Clause 2.1 is unambiguous about who is behind it: "The Platform and App known as 'Lucky Land Casino' is owned and operated by Beells Ltd." Beells Limited is a Malta company, registration number C109472, at Trident Park in Birkirkara, the same building that houses VGW Malta Limited and VGW Games Limited. The sweepstakes promotions and prizes are "operated/sponsored by VGW Games," which holds Malta Gaming Authority licence MGA/B2C/188/2010, dated August 1, 2018.

So it is a VGW brand, sponsored by the same licensed entity that sponsors Chumba and Global Poker, but the operating company on the contract is different from the one on LuckyLand Slots, which the class action complaint filed against VGW in Minnesota in June names as VGW Luckyland Inc., a Delaware corporation in Boulder, Colorado.

That same complaint records that VGW Games Limited's Malta licence lists four website URLs: luckylandcasino.com, unitedslots.com, globalpoker.com and chumbacasino.com. LuckyLand Slots is not among them. That absence is not evidence of anything improper, and we are not suggesting it is: LuckyLand Slots runs through a US entity rather than the Malta sponsor, so a Malta B2C licence record is not where you would expect to find it. What it does show is that the two LuckyLand products sit on different sides of VGW's corporate structure, which is the whole point of this article.

What are LuckyLand Casino's redemption limits and payout times?

Everything below is from the version 5.1 document, not from a review or a press release.

Read the two payout rows together. Clause 8.16 gives VGW up to ten business days to process a cash redemption, and clause 8.18 adds up to seven more days on anything over US$10,000, for bank clearance and fraud checks. A large win can therefore sit for the better part of a month inside the published terms, before any identity-verification delay under 8.17. Two more clauses deserve a second look. The playthrough clause, 6.13, says a Sweeps Coin normally needs playing once before it can be redeemed, but that VGW "may, in our sole discretion, require that any Sweeps Coins allocated to you be played a greater number of times (not exceeding 20)." A 20x ceiling written into the contract is not the same as a 20x requirement, and we have no evidence it is being applied. It is still a term you agreed to.

The other is clause 2.2, which is about what happens if the company fails. Unredeemed prize funds are held separately, and then the document says the quiet part: "in the event of insolvency there is no absolute guarantee that any Prizes which you have not yet redeemed will be allocated or paid to you." That sentence appears in VGW's own terms across brands. It is worth rereading in the weeks a sister brand is being switched off.

Which states can play LuckyLand Casino?

The exclusions are identical to Chumba's, which is what you would expect from shared sponsorship.

Fourteen states in total have no path to a cash prize.

That list is dated April 24 and does not include Indiana, whose ban took effect July 1, or Maine, whose ban took effect in late July. Terms documents lag the live geoblocks, which is why the state notice inside your account is the one that decides whether you can play, not the PDF. We traced the same gap between published rules and actual blocks across four brands on August 3.

Does my LuckyLand Slots balance move over?

Neither terms document says. VGW's own closure page, which we read on August 16, does: account balances cannot be transferred to any other brand.

Here is what the two contracts we read on August 4 establish on their own. LuckyLand Slots stops gameplay on August 24 and disables redemptions on September 14, the calendar we set out last week. LuckyLand Casino's terms make no mention of LuckyLand Slots, contain no transfer or migration clause, and define the platform solely as luckylandcasino.com "and all subdomains, subpages and successor sites thereof." The LuckyLand Slots Terms of Service are a separate document, version 27.0, last updated February 2, 2026 according to the court filing that cites them; the site did not serve us that page on August 4.

Treat them as two accounts at two companies until VGW says otherwise in writing. Redeem what is at LuckyLand Slots before September 14 rather than assuming it follows you. If you have never taken money out of a VGW brand, do the identity verification now instead of during the last week, because that is where these things stall.

One more difference from LuckyLand Slots. LuckyLand Casino distributes an Android app both through app stores and as a downloadable APK file, and clause 13.2 governs sideloaded installs specifically. If you go looking for that download, get it from luckylandcasino.com itself. VGW's own terms warn that third-party sites and apps offering its currencies "may be fraudulent in nature," and then say it flatly: "WE DO NOT AUTHORIZE ANY THIRD PARTY TO OFFER GOLD COINS OR SWEEPS COINS."

The Malta licence detail and the LuckyLand Slots operating entity come from the Engel complaint, which is a court filing rather than a VGW statement; the licence record itself we did not retrieve. The LuckyLand Slots terms page did not respond to our requests on August 4, so its version number and date are as cited in that filing rather than read first-hand. We have not tested LuckyLand Casino and have no view on it.
