Rubychips Offers 2 Free Sweep Coins, Says No Cash Prizes

Rubychips advertises 2 free Sweep Coins to every new player and then, three paragraphs down the same page, tells you "There are no cash prizes involved". The offer is a sign-up bonus of "100K + 2 free", where the second figure sits beside an image the site's own code labels Sweep Coins: the currency is dangled as the inducement and the prize is denied on one screen. Its Terms then say the games "DO NOT allow the deposit or redemption of any real money in any manner", and spend four clauses regulating Sweep Coins, redemption requests and forfeiture under two rule books that are not served at any URL. We read all of it on September 18, 2026.

Rubychips is a US social casino run by Kinetix Ventures, Inc., a Delaware corporation, and it turns up on affiliate lists of new sweepstakes casinos. It is not one of the 33 brands we review, we have never tested a redemption there, and nothing below is a score. It is a reading of the operator's own documents, which is how we check everything we publish. Brands we have actually put money through sit on our new sweepstakes casinos page instead.

What does the Rubychips home page actually promise?

Two currencies, in the same banner. The hero reads "Sign Up and Get 100K" beside an image whose alt text is "Gold Coins", then "+ 2 free" beside an image whose alt text is "Sweep Coins". A second banner lower down repeats it as a "130 % Welcome Deal", again as 100K Gold Coins plus 2 free Sweep Coins. The page title is "Rubychips Social Casino (USA) | Grab 100K Free Coins & Play Slots Free" and its meta description promises "your 100,000 free coins sign-up bonus with no deposit required".

Now the marketing copy on that identical page, verbatim:

RubyChips is built for social gaming and entertainment. There are no cash prizes involved, allowing players to enjoy the excitement of casino-style games in a relaxed and stress-free environment.

And, under its responsible-play heading:

Our games are designed strictly for entertainment purposes and do not involve cash prizes or real-money gaming activities.

A Sweep Coin that pays no cash prize is not a Sweep Coin in the sense the rest of this category uses the term. If you are unclear why the distinction decides whether you can ever cash out, gold coins versus sweeps coins covers the two-currency model these sites run on.

What do the Rubychips terms say about cashing out?

That you cannot, and then four times over that you might. The Terms & Conditions are headed "Effective as of April 19, 2026" with a footer stamp reading "Version 1.02. Updated 08/21/2026" - two dates in one document, and the footer is the live one. They say:

The Games and the Services do not involve real-money gambling. Our Games DO NOT allow the deposit or redemption of any real money in any manner.

The Games reward successful play with Gold Coins only, which can be used exclusively within the Platform. Gold Coins cannot be exchanged, redeemed, or traded for any monetary or tangible value.

Yet the same document, four times, assumes a redeemable balance exists. It bars "Promotional Conversion Abuse", defined as misusing "any promotion, bonus, Sweep Coins, playthrough requirement, Game, or redemption feature". It reserves the power to "suspend, reject, or cancel any redemption request; designate any affected Sweep Coins as non-redeemable; void or forfeit any affected Sweep Coins". And it tells you where the detail lives: "Additional criteria, indicators, and consequences of PCA are set forth in the Sweep Rules and Reward Redemption Policy."

Neither of those two documents is published.

Why can't you read the Rubychips Sweep Rules?

Because both paths are routed to the home page. Checked without following redirects on September 18, https://rubychips.com/sweepstakes-rules answers HTTP 307 with a location header pointing at /, and https://rubychips.com/reward-redemption-policy does the same. That is not a catch-all swallowing every unknown path: an invented control path, plus /rules, /about-us and /official-rules, all return a genuine HTTP 404. The two documents the Terms incorporate by reference are the ones wired to redirect.

Worth knowing if you check this yourself: follow the redirect and you get an HTTP 200 and a page that loads, which is what a link checker records and what a reader sees. The document still is not there. The Responsible Gaming Policy, which does serve in full, never uses the word Sweep at all.

So the clause that can void your balance points at a rule book you cannot read. That is not unique to this operator - five of six rulebooks we compared can be rewritten without telling the player - but an unserved document is a step past a silently edited one.

Are the Rubychips terms the same as SweepJungle and Sixty6?

Almost entirely. It is one document wearing three names, and the third name is the new part. We reported the Sixty6 and SweepJungle halves of this in August; what Rubychips adds is a third instance of the same contract, live and freshly stamped. The pattern is not confined to this operator: we have documented eight casinos running off a single Mamba Limited rulebook the same way.

Split all three sets of terms into sentences and normalise the brand name, and each brand yields the same sentence count as the other two, with roughly 95% of the text word-for-word shared. Rubychips sits marginally closer to SweepJungle than to Sixty6. The exact figures move with how you split a sentence, so treat the proportion rather than any single integer as the finding: these are not three rulebooks, they are one. All three are Kinetix Ventures brands, all three carry the "Gold Coins only" clause, all three cite a Sweep Rules document that is not published, and all three route /sweepstakes-rules to the home page.

We reported the same pattern at Sixty6, where wins pay Gold Coins rather than cash, and at SweepJungle, which publishes no sweepstakes rules either. Rubychips is the third instance, and the newest.

Which 19 states and D.C. does Rubychips block?

Twenty jurisdictions, worded as "not available to residents of": Connecticut, Idaho, Kentucky, Michigan, Nevada, Washington, Washington D.C., Montana, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, New York, New Jersey, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arizona, California, Tennessee, Maine and Indiana.

Oklahoma is not on that list. SB 1589 amends the state's gambling statute so that a "representative of value" includes "any and all currency used as part of a dual-currency system of payment that allows a person to exchange such currency for any prize, award, cash, or cash equivalent", and the enrolled text closes with "SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026" - 44 days from today. We have set out the full statute text and the penalties it carries separately. Rubychips, SweepJungle and Sixty6 all still accept the state, and all three were stamped as updated in late August, after the bill was enrolled. They are not outliers in that: when we last swept the ranked rulebooks, eight of them still named Oklahoma as an open state.

Kentucky is the mirror image: it is excluded here despite having passed no sweepstakes ban, which is the operator drawing its own line rather than following a statute. Maine, Indiana and Connecticut are on the list for reasons the law does supply.

What can't you find out before signing up at Rubychips?

The practical problem is not that Rubychips is definitely one thing or the other. It is that you cannot find out from anything it publishes.

The contract you would be agreeing to says wins pay Gold Coins and that nothing converts to money. The same contract reserves the right to cancel your redemption requests and void your Sweep Coins, and points to two documents for the detail. Those two documents are routed to the home page. Four things every rulebook in this category normally states are therefore unavailable at any Rubychips URL:

• The redemption minimum - no balance threshold is published anywhere.
• The exchange rate - nothing says what one Sweep Coin is worth.
• The payout method - no bank transfer, card, wallet or gift-card route is named.
• The processing time - no review or payment window is given.

If you sign up anyway, screenshot the Terms on the day you do it. Kinetix Ventures revised all three of these brands' documents in late August with nothing but a footer date to mark it, and the terms you agreed to are not necessarily the terms on screen next month.
