WOW Vegas Purchased Sweeps Coins Need 5x Playthrough
WOW Vegas tells buyers at checkout that Sweeps Coins bought in a coin pack "must be played through five times before they are eligible for redemption". That is five times the one-time floor set in its own SC Game Rules, and five times what its help centre still tells players. Buy this week's $24.99 pack and its 30 SC needs 150 SC of play before a single coin can be cashed out.
The sentence is not in a promotion page or a banner. It sits in the purchase modal, in the code WOW Vegas serves to every visitor, and it fires on a per-pack flag in the store configuration. We read both on September 22, 2026.
What exactly does WOW Vegas say at checkout?
The string is verbatim: "SC Coins credited to participating customers must be played through five times before they are eligible for redemption." In the shipped front-end bundle it renders under the price when two conditions are met - the pack includes Sweeps Coins, and the pack record carries req_playthru: true or sits in the store's flash-sale segment.
Both of those branches are live. The Flash Sale is switched on in the same file and holds three tagged bundles, at $14.99 for 20 SC, $59.99 for 80 SC and $149.99 for 200 SC, and all three also carry the flag. The largest needs 1,000 SC staked before any of the 200 SC can be redeemed. A second string in the bundle covers that route in its own words: "SC Coins credited to customers participating in the Flash Sale must be played through five times before they are eligible for redemption."
The flag is datable. WOW Vegas's store file holds 1,056 coin packs, 913 of them carrying a date in the slug. Only 217 of the 1,056 carry the req_playthru field at all and 210 of those are set to true, and the split falls on a single date: not one pack dated August 18, 2026 or earlier carries it, and from August 19 onward almost every dated pack does. Seven dated packs since August 19 do not carry it: a $24.99 reactivation pack dated September 17, five weekly $0.99 first-purchase packs, and one $1,499.99 bonus pack. The September 17 pack is the one to sit with. Set it beside the $24.99 pack in the table below and the two records match on every field - same price, same $29.99 strike-through, same 1,500,000 WOW Coins, same 30 SC - except that one has the flag and the other does not. Two offers a buyer could not tell apart carried different redemption terms four days apart. That is what a per-offer flag means in practice, and it is why the rulebook cannot answer this question for you. We hold no earlier copy of this file, so August 19 is where the flag starts in the data we can see, not necessarily where the policy started.
Which packs carry the five-times requirement?
These are the four distinct offers dated September 19 to 21, 2026 - the ones a returning player is being shown this week. Every one of them is flagged for the five-times rule.
| Price | Was | Coins credited | SC you must stake before redeeming |
|---|---|---|---|
| $0.99 | $4.99 | 250,000 WOW Coins + 5 SC | 25 SC |
| $4.99 | $9.99 | 510,000 WOW Coins + 10 SC | 50 SC |
| $9.99 | $19.99 | 1,000,000 WOW Coins + 20 SC | 100 SC |
| $24.99 | $29.99 | 1,500,000 WOW Coins + 30 SC | 150 SC |
Read the right-hand column against the cash-out floor. WOW Vegas's help centre puts the minimum redemption at 50 SC for cash and 20 SC for gift cards. The $24.99 buyer therefore has to put 150 SC through the games before the 30 SC they paid for becomes eligible at all, and the balance that survives that has to still clear 50 SC. Whether it does is a function of the games, which is the part nobody can promise you. Our guide to how Sweeps Coins redemption actually works covers the mechanics, and the difference between Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins covers why only one half of any pack can ever be cashed out.
What do WOW Vegas's own rules allow?
The SC Game Rules, version 30.0, published September 9, 2026, set the floor at one play: "SC Coins credited to a Participant's customer account are required to be played through one time (1x) before they are eligible to be redeemed for prizes unless sponsor/promoter requires/advises otherwise."
The clause immediately after it is the one that matters. "In its sole discretion and without prior written notice, the Sponsor/Promoter may require that any SC Coins allocated to a Participant customer account must be played through a greater number of times on a variety of SC Coins games before they are eligible for prize redemption. The number of play through times requested via this clause will not exceed twenty times (20x)."
So five times is permitted. The ceiling is twenty, which is where SweepKing sets the playthrough on its own bonus Sweeps Coins. The phrase "five times" appears nowhere in the SC Game Rules, nowhere in the Sweepstakes Rules version 14.0, and nowhere in the Terms and Conditions version 9.0 published July 23, 2026. We searched all three documents in full. The only place a player will meet the number is the checkout footnote, which means you have to reach the payment screen to learn the terms of the purchase.
The playthrough rule itself turns up in three places, and they do not give the same number.
| Where a buyer reads it | Playthrough on purchased Sweeps Coins |
|---|---|
| Checkout footnote in the purchase modal | Five times |
| SC Game Rules, version 30.0 | One time, with discretion to require up to twenty |
| Help centre article on redemptions | "at least once (1x)" |
Two further carve-outs in the same rules cut the other way for anyone using the sportsbook side. Sweeps Coins staked on a Sports Pick count toward playthrough only when the pick settles normally; picks that are void, cancelled, returned or closed with Finish Early do not count, and contributions to any jackpot do not count either. We wrote about that product when it launched, in WOW Vegas adding sports predictions.
What happens if you ask to redeem before the playthrough is done?
You lose the rest. WOW Vegas publishes this plainly in a help-centre article last modified May 12, 2026: "If a Redemption request is made before the reward balance is fully played through, the remaining unplayed balance will be canceled in the process, and the redemption cannot be completed."
That same article tells players the requirement is once. It quotes the 1x clause, says "SC credited to your account must be played through at least once (1x) before it can be redeemed for prizes", and stops there. A player who checks the help centre before buying gets a number five times smaller than the one the checkout will show them.
Does this change our WOW Vegas rating?
Not the score, and not this week. It does change what our page has to say. Our WOW Vegas review records the redemption minimums and the offer but says nothing about a playthrough requirement on purchased Sweeps Coins, and it should. One criterion note on the same page carries 25 SC gift card and 100 SC cash minimums, while both the review's own redemption line and the operator's help centre say 20 SC and 50 SC. Those two numbers need reconciling, and we have queued both fixes.
The wider point applies well beyond one brand. A purchase bonus is only as good as the conditions attached to the redeemable half of it, and those conditions are usually set per-offer rather than in the rulebook. If you are picking between brands on bonus size alone, compare the terms at our ranked list of sweepstakes casinos and the payout side at highest-payout sweepstakes casinos, and take the free route first via no-purchase Sweeps Coins offers. WOW Vegas's own no-purchase offer, which needs no code and no card, is on our WOW Vegas promo code page.

FAQ
Does WOW Vegas apply the five-times playthrough to free Sweeps Coins?
The checkout note is attached to purchase packs, and it only renders for packs that include Sweeps Coins. The rules apply the playthrough language to SC "credited to a Participant's customer account" generally, and the help centre article describes a free SC reward being cancelled by an early redemption request, so free rewards can carry a requirement too. The specific number on a free reward is not published.
Can WOW Vegas raise the requirement above five?
Yes, up to twenty times, and the SC Game Rules say it can do so "in its sole discretion and without prior written notice".
Do Sweeps Coins won from gameplay carry the same requirement?
The rules treat SC won from SC game play as redeemable "subject to a minimum redemption requirement" and set the rate at 1 SC to $1. The playthrough clause is written about SC credited to the account, which is what a purchase or a reward does, not what a win does.
