LuckyLand Casino Terms Now Bar Indiana and Maine Prizes

LuckyLand Casino's rewritten rulebook, published September 16, 2026, bars 16 states from its sweepstakes instead of 14, adding Indiana and Maine roughly two months after those bans took effect. Players in those two states can still open the site and buy Gold Coins, but they have no route to a prize at all. Not one redemption number moved: the minimum is still US$50, and the free-entry route the rules publish is an online handwriting test rather than a postcard.

Anyone who still has luckylandslots.com bookmarked is now sent here. Every path on the closed brand's domain answers with a 302 to /not-available, then a 301 off the domain to luckylandcasino.com, which lands on its state gate. We recorded that redirect on September 18, when the destination's legal pages still served no document text to us. They do now.

What changed in LuckyLand Casino's terms?

Both documents carry the same stamp: "DATE OF LAST UPDATE: September 16, 2026". The Terms and Conditions jumped from version 5.1 to version 10.0, and the Sweeps Rules are version 6.1. The operator's own content system puts a publication timestamp of 05:11 UTC on September 16 on the pages that serve them, which is two days after LuckyLand Slots' final redemption deadline and a little over three weeks after its games went dark.

The April version is still on VGW's file server, so the comparison below is a straight read of the two documents rather than an inference.

That last row is not a LuckyLand Casino decision. VGW republished Chumba Casino's terms on the same day, and they carry the identical caveat, "if and when these formats are offered/supported by us", on their own App and APK definitions.

The state line is the one with a date attached to it. Version 5.1 read: "ONLY PLAYERS IN THE UNITED STATES (EXCLUDING THE STATES OF CALIFORNIA, CONNECTICUT, DELAWARE, IDAHO, LOUISIANA, MICHIGAN, MISSISSIPPI, MONTANA, NEVADA, NEW JERSEY, NEW YORK, TENNESSEE, WASHINGTON AND WEST VIRGINIA) ARE ELIGIBLE TO ENTER THE SWEEPSTAKES." Version 10.0 adds INDIANA and MAINE to that list, in alphabetical position, and changes nothing else in the sentence.

Indiana's ban took effect on July 1 and Maine's on July 29. When we read version 5.1 on August 4 we flagged both as missing and told readers the terms document lagged the live geoblock. That gap has now been closed in writing, roughly two months late.

One row of that table matters beyond bookkeeping. Clause 24.2 binds you and "VGW Group" to arbitrate, and the definition of VGW Group has grown. In April it read "Beells Ltd, VGW Games, VGW Malta, VGW GP and our affiliates and related parties." It now reads "Beells Ltd, VGW Canada, VGW Financial Services, VGW Games, VGW GP, VGW Luckyland Inc, VGW Malta and our affiliates and related parties."

Two of those three additions are named defendants in a pending case. We re-read the complaint in Engel v. VGW Holdings Pty Ltd, filed in the District of Minnesota on June 18, 2026, and its paragraphs 13 and 14 give VGW Luckyland Inc an address at 1881 9th Street, Suite 202, Canyon Center, Boulder, Colorado, and VGW Canada an address at 66 Wellington Street West, 5300, Toronto. The September 16 Terms and Conditions give both entities the same addresses, to the suite number. So the two companies written into LuckyLand Casino's arbitration clause this month are the same two companies that were sued in Minnesota in June. What that means, if anything, is for a court. We are recording that the identification is exact and that VGW has published no explanation of the change.

Every entity inside that definition is covered by clause 24.2, and one of the new names is no stranger to it. VGW Luckyland Inc was among the moving defendants when a Georgia judge sent a Chumba and LuckyLand Slots class action into arbitration on July 1, 2026, a ruling that turned on whether the operator could prove the player had accepted its terms.

What states is LuckyLand Casino available in?

The Sweeps Rules put it as a positive definition at clause 1.1: "Permitted Territories means the United States (other than the states of California, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, Washington and West Virginia)."

The site's own state gate splits those 16 into two tiers, and the split matters because one of them still lets you in the door:

We pulled the same page from Global Poker to compare, and both tiers are identical down to the state order, which is what a shared rulebook across VGW's brands looks like rather than a decision about LuckyLand Casino specifically. A player in the second tier can open the site, buy Gold Coins and play, and has no route to a cash prize at all. If that describes your state, the practical question is not which VGW brand to use but whether to play a free-to-play product at all.

Oklahoma is on neither list, and November 1 is 42 days from today. We re-read the enrolled SB 1589 on the Legislature's own server this morning. It does not use the word "sweepstakes" once. What it does is define "representative of value" to include "any and all currency used as part of a dual-currency system of payment that allows a person to exchange such currency for any prize, award, cash, or cash equivalent," and then make it a Class C2 felony to conduct online casino games for such value, or to support them "as owner or employee, geolocation provider, gaming supplier, platform provider, promoter, or media affiliate." Section 2 is one line: "This act shall become effective November 1, 2026."

That is an offence aimed at operators and the businesses around them, not at players, and we set the penalty structure out in full in August. The point here is narrower: a rulebook drafted in the middle of September, 46 days before that date, still does not name Oklahoma. That matches what we found across 12 operator documents on August 12, and it is the second time we have watched this company write states into a contract months after their bans rather than before.

How do you get free Sweeps Coins at LuckyLand Casino?

Clause 3.2 of the Sweeps Rules opens "there are four potential ways for an Eligible Participant to collect Sweeps Coins", and the route most of this category runs is not among them.

1. Sweeps Coins as a bonus on marked Gold Coin packs, which costs money.
2. "Sweeps Coins no-cost giveaway contests on the LuckyLand Casino Facebook page."
3. A Daily Bonus collected from the in-app "Bonus" icon, once per 24 hours, "at our election".
4. An online entry request worth five Sweeps Coins.

There is no mail-in address. We searched both documents: the Sweeps Rules contain no PO box, no postal entry clause and no reference to an envelope or a stamp, and every occurrence of "mail" in that file sits inside the word "email". The word "postal" appears once in the Terms and Conditions, in clause 24.3, where it asks for the player's own address on an arbitration opt-out notice. Most of the category still runs a postal alternative method of entry. We cannot tell you whether this is a change, because no earlier version of LuckyLand Casino's Sweeps Rules is retrievable: the obvious April filenames 404 on both of VGW's file servers, and the April Terms and Conditions we do hold never contained an entry route at all. What we can tell you is what the rulebook in force says today.

That form is not a click. Clause 3.2(d) requires the player to:

1. Open an entry acknowledgment form and type a name that must match the verified account.
2. Pass a "human check".
3. Scratch a concealed template to reveal unique wording.
4. Handwrite that wording on "a blank, unlined, unfolded 4" x 6" standard index card or piece of white paper", in black or blue pen.
5. Photograph the card inside an on-screen frame.
6. If prompted, submit a selfie photo or video with the face "framed by the oval photo zone".

Illegible handwriting voids the entry, and legibility "will be determined by Sponsor/Promoter in its sole discretion".

Each completed request pays five Sweeps Coins. The cash-out floor is 50. A player using only the free route needs ten of those before a redemption can even be requested.

What are LuckyLand Casino's redemption rules?

They did not change, and that is the finding. We checked every one of the numbers below against the April 24 document clause by clause, and each is identical: 8.15, 8.16, 8.18 and 8.22 of the Terms and Conditions are word for word what they were in version 5.1, and the Sweeps Rules restate the same 50 Sweeps Coin floor, the same 1x to 20x play-through and the same two caps we published from version 5.1 on August 4. A rulebook can be rewritten hard enough to add two states, cut its named payment agents from eleven to four and put a mandatory settlement conference in front of arbitration, without a single term that governs your money moving. This one was. The table below is the current text, with the clause numbers to check it against.

The expiry clause is the one to act on, and it has been sitting there since April as clause 8.22 of the old terms. Sixty days runs from your last login rather than from your last purchase or your last win, so an account you stop opening loses its Sweeps Coins two months later whether or not the balance was ever big enough to cash out. If you opened a LuckyLand Casino account when LuckyLand Slots shut down and have not been back since, that is the clock you are on. The 30-day arbitration opt-out, also unchanged, is the same window we found across six unrelated operator groups, and it starts running the day you accept, not the day a dispute arises.

Did LuckyLand Slots balances move to LuckyLand Casino?

No. We searched both files for "LuckyLand Slots", for a closure, for a migration and for a transferred balance, and there is nothing. The phrase "LuckyLand Slots" appears zero times across 22 pages of terms and nine pages of sweeps rules. The only transfer clauses in either document are the ordinary ones. Clause 5.11 says "You may not transfer Gold Coins or Sweeps Coins between Customer Accounts", and clause 25.11 reserves VGW's own right "to assign, transfer or delegate any of our rights and obligations hereunder to any third party without notice to you." Neither is about migrating a player from one brand to another.

So the position for a player who missed the September 14 deadline has not changed, and the domain redirect does not change it. LuckyLand Slots' own production build is still being served, and we re-fetched it today: it still carries the closure text reading "LuckyLand Slots closes permanently" and "No further redemption requests." VGW's closure FAQ already said a LuckyLand Casino account has to be created fresh and that "GC and SC balances can't move between brands". Two new legal documents published two days later say nothing that contradicts or softens that.

One caveat we have to state plainly, in line with how we verify: we are reading VGW's published files and its state gate from outside the United States. That establishes what the company publishes, not what a signed-in US player sees in their account.

Is our LuckyLand Slots review still accurate?

No. Our LuckyLand Slots review is out of date in a way that matters more than any state count. It still describes the brand as facing "wind-down uncertainty", still says VGW "hasn't committed either way", and still tells readers the brand is right for them if "you're an existing player collecting daily bonuses on an account you already have." Games stopped on August 24 and redemptions closed on September 14. There are no daily bonuses to collect and nothing is uncertain. The page carries no affiliate links and states that we earn nothing from it, so no reader has been sent anywhere, but the copy is wrong and we are flagging it for correction. Its two exclusion figures, 14 in one box and 13 in another, also need reconciling, and neither should be swapped for the 16 above: LuckyLand Casino is a different brand under a different operating company, not a renamed one.

LuckyLand Casino itself is still not in our brand database and has no review, because we have not tested it. Nothing here is a recommendation to open an account there. The brands we have actually put through our 12-criteria model are on our ranked list.

All three PDFs were downloaded and extracted to text on September 20, 2026, and every quotation above is verbatim from the file it is attributed to. The April and September Terms and Conditions were fetched the same morning from VGW's own file servers and compared clause by clause, which is how we can say that the redemption numbers did not move rather than merely that the new document repeats them. The publication timestamp of 05:11 UTC on September 16 is the published value inside the content-management payload that LuckyLand Casino's own legal pages serve; it is the same value on both pages, so read it as when those pages were published rather than as a per-document stamp. The two documents' internal date stamps agree with it and their filenames begin 260916.

Three limits on what is above. No earlier version of the Sweeps Rules could be retrieved: April-dated filenames return the same not-found response as an invented control URL on both of VGW's file servers, and the Internet Archive rate-limited us, so the absence of a postal entry route is reported as the state of the current rulebook and not as a change. We could not read Chumba Casino's or Global Poker's current sweeps rules from here, so nothing above is a comparison of LuckyLand Casino's redemption terms against its sister brands' current documents. And the Minnesota complaint is an unproven allegation by a plaintiff; we cite it only for the two defendant addresses in its paragraphs 13 and 14, which we read first-hand off the federal docket.
