Crown Coins Coinback Safe: 9 or 10 AM UTC on Tuesday?

By SweepsPatrol News Desk · Automated research pipeline, editor spot-audited · Last verified SEP 5, 2026

Crown Coins' Coinback page now gives two different opening times for the weekly Coinback Safe, 9:00 AM UTC in one paragraph and 10:00 AM UTC in three others, so check after 10:00 on Tuesday until the page agrees with itself. The split arrived in a rewrite of that page on September 3, 2026, which also changed what the payout formula multiplies. The tier rates, 2 percent at Bronze up to 6 percent at Emerald, did not move.

Small story, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. But this is the top brand on our ranked list, Coinback is a real weekly payment rather than a marketing badge, and the operator's own document no longer agrees with itself about when you can take it.

What changed on the Crown Coins Coinback page?

We read the live article on September 5 and compared it with the Internet Archive's capture of the same URL, taken on June 11, 2026. The page's own structured data timestamps the current version at 07:33 UTC on September 3, 2026 and the archived one at 03:33 UTC on June 10. That field records only the most recent edit, so what we can show is that the page is not what it was in June, not how many times it was rewritten in between.

Detail June 10, 2026 version September 3, 2026 version
Safe opening time "every Tuesday at 9:00 AM (UTC)", stated once 9:00 AM UTC once, 10:00 AM UTC three times
Payout formula "Redeemable Coins × House Hedge × VIP Percentage" "Eligible Spins × House Edge × VIP Club Percentage"
Rate by tier Bronze 2, Silver 3, Gold 4, Diamond 5, Emerald 6 percent Identical
Entry Tier spins Not addressed Count toward your first Coinback once you reach Bronze
FAQ block None Four questions

The rates are the part players ask about, and they did not change. Everything else did.

When does the Crown Coins Coinback Safe open?

We cannot tell you, and neither can Crown Coins. The paragraph describing how Coinback accumulates says your balance sits in the Safe, "which opens every Tuesday at 9:00 AM UTC". Three other passages in the same article, including the first FAQ answer, say the opposite: "The Coinback Safe opens every Tuesday at 10:00 AM UTC."

The June version had no such split. It said 9:00 once and nothing else. So the second time appeared with this rewrite.

We could not settle it against the terms either, and we should be precise about why. Crown Coins' main site is a JavaScript shell: /sweeps-rules and /terms-and-conditions each returned the same 11,672 bytes with 16 characters of readable text on September 5, and so did an invented URL we requested as a control. The site hands that shell to any path, so this is a failed retrieval rather than proof the terms are silent. What it does mean is that the help centre is the only version of the Coinback schedule a player can actually read, which is the same pattern we found when Crown Coins rewrote its redemption-methods article and when it posted its Social Mode state notices.

An hour is not a catastrophe, and the article is clear that nothing burns. Choosing "Keep" leaves your Coinback in the Safe as a balance you "can claim at any time", and Coinback still held back from the last cycle becomes available at the next scheduled opening. The page sets no expiry on either. So the cost of the wrong time is a wasted trip rather than a lost balance: a player who sets an alarm off the 9:00 sentence finds nothing there and has to come back. While the page disagrees with itself, check after 10:00 AM UTC on Tuesday. That is the figure three of the four passages give, including the FAQ answer, and the Lobby widget the article says appears "a few hours before and after" the opening should still be up.

Did the Coinback payout formula change?

The words did. Whether the arithmetic did, the company does not say.

In June the article calculated Coinback as "Redeemable Coins × House Hedge × VIP Percentage". Today it reads "Eligible Spins × House Edge × VIP Club Percentage". "House Hedge" was a typo and fixing it is fine. Swapping "Redeemable Coins" for "Eligible Spins" is not a typo fix: one is an amount of currency staked, the other is a count of spins, and 2 percent of one is nothing like 2 percent of the other.

Neither version tells you the house-edge figure being used, so neither is a formula you can run. That was true in June and it is true now. What is new is that a player who worked out their expected Coinback from the old wording cannot reconcile it with the new one, and the page offers no note that anything was revised.

The eligibility rule underneath it is unchanged in substance and clearer in wording. In Gold Coin mode every spin counts. In Sweeps Coins mode, per the current text, "Only spins made using redeemable Sweeps Coins (SC) are eligible. Spins using non-redeemable SC do not contribute to your Coinback balance." If you are not sure which of your Sweeps Coins are redeemable, our guide to Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins explains the split.

Do Entry Tier spins count toward Coinback?

Yes, and that is the one improvement in the rewrite. The new version says spins made before you qualify are not thrown away: "If you made eligible spins while you were still on the Entry Tier, those spins will count toward your first Coinback once you reach Bronze." The June version said only that you had to be Bronze or higher to earn Coinback, and said nothing about what happened to earlier play.

Coinback is still restricted to VIP Club Bronze and above, so a new account gets nothing until it climbs. But the climb no longer costs you the spins you made on the way. Coinback is earned on play you have already made, not handed out up front; the no-purchase routes into Sweeps Coins are a separate thing, and we list them on our free Sweeps Coins page.

FAQ

How much Coinback does each VIP tier pay?

Bronze 2 percent, Silver 3 percent, Gold 4 percent, Diamond 5 percent and Emerald 6 percent. Those five rates are identical in the June and September versions of the page.

Does unclaimed Coinback expire?

The page sets no expiry on it. Choosing "Keep" leaves the amount in the Safe as a balance you "can claim at any time", and Coinback held back from the last cycle becomes available at the next scheduled opening.

Which spins count toward Coinback?

In Gold Coin mode, every spin. In Sweeps Coins mode, only spins made with redeemable Sweeps Coins; the current text says spins using non-redeemable SC "do not contribute to your Coinback balance".

Where does Crown Coins publish the Coinback rules?

Only in its help centre, as far as a player can read. Both /sweeps-rules and /terms-and-conditions on the main site returned a JavaScript shell with no readable terms text when we requested them on September 5, 2026, and so did a control URL that does not exist.
