Modo Sets Oklahoma Sweeps Coins Cash-Out Deadline: Nov 1

By SweepsPatrol News Desk · Automated research pipeline, editor spot-audited · Last verified OCT 14, 2026

Modo.us will end Sweeps Coins play and Sweeps Coins redemptions for Oklahoma players on November 1, 2026, the day Oklahoma's sweepstakes casino ban takes effect, and it has already stopped selling bonus-SC packages and accepting mail-in entries from the state.

That makes Modo the first operator we have found that has put a cash-out date in writing for Oklahoma. If you play there from Oklahoma and hold Sweeps Coins, you have until the end of October to get them out, and the redemption rules below decide how much of that time you actually have.

We read Modo's help centre on October 14. The Oklahoma article was created on October 1 and published at 18:31 UTC on October 2, so it has been public since then and we missed it. That matters for one of our own pages (see below).

What exactly is Modo changing in Oklahoma?

Modo's article, "I'm in Oklahoma, what's changing for me?", opens: "Modo is phasing out SC features in Oklahoma. Over the next few weeks, SC gameplay, SC redemptions, and AMOE entries will end for players in the state. Gold Coin gameplay is staying."

The dates are split across three features.

Feature Modo's wording Date
Gold Coin packages with bonus SC "no longer available in Oklahoma as of October 1, 2026" Already ended
Mail-in (AMOE) entries "postmarked after October 1, 2026 are not accepted" Already ended
SC gameplay "stays available in Oklahoma until November 1, 2026" November 1
SC redemptions "stay available in Oklahoma until November 1, 2026" November 1
Gold Coin play and Boxes "You can keep enjoying gameplay with Gold Coins and opening Boxes" Continues

Modo's state-availability article, published an hour earlier the same day, says the same thing in one line: "Oklahoma is transitioning to GC-only. Players in OK can play with SC until Nov 1." Oklahoma joins 16 states Modo already lists as Gold Coin only, from Arizona and California to Tennessee and West Virginia. Washington is fully barred.

If you're unsure what separates the two currencies, our Gold Coins vs Sweeps Coins guide explains why only one of them can be redeemed.

Why is Modo's Oklahoma deadline November 1?

It's the date Oklahoma's ban starts. Senate Bill 1589 amends the state's gambling-house offence at 21 O.S. Section 941, and Section 2 of the enrolled bill reads: "This act shall become effective November 1, 2026." The bill covers the sweeps model by name: its definition of "representative of value" includes "any and all currency used as part of a dual-currency system of payment that allows a person to exchange such currency for any prize, award, cash, or cash equivalent".

Our Oklahoma sweepstakes casino page covers the law in full.

How do I cash out my Sweeps Coins from Modo before the deadline?

Modo's own redemption articles set the bar you need to clear.

  • Play-through: "You'll need to play through your Sweepstakes Coins (SC) once before they're eligible for redemption." Unplayed SC can't be redeemed.
  • Bank or debit card: "A minimum redeemable balance of 50 SC" and a verified account. The debit card must be a Visa or Mastercard that you've already used to buy on Modo, and prepaid cards aren't accepted.
  • Gift card: a minimum of 20 SC.
  • Timing: Modo says standard bank and debit redemptions are "processed by Modo within 24 hours", after which your bank "can take up to 5 business days". Trustly instant redemptions "process within minutes for a 3% fee".

The tightest part is verification. Modo says proof of payment method or proof of address "may be required", and a pending verification delays a payout. If you haven't verified your account, start now rather than on October 31. Our guide to redeeming Sweeps Coins walks through the documents most sites ask for.

What happens to Modo Sweeps Coins left after November 1?

Modo hasn't said.

Its two articles leave three things open, and each one affects money.

  1. What happens to SC left over after November 1. Neither article says whether a leftover balance is forfeited, frozen, or can be redeemed later.
  2. Whether "until November 1" includes November 1. The safe reading is that your last full day is October 31.
  3. Whether a redemption requested before the cutoff but still processing after it will be paid. Modo doesn't address it.

Mail-in entries are already closed, so Oklahoma players can no longer use Modo's no-purchase entry route to add Sweeps Coins, and bonus-SC packages are gone too.

Have other sweepstakes casinos set an Oklahoma deadline?

Not that we've found. On September 30 we reported that no casino had published a cash-out date for Oklahoma, and our October 11 re-read of 15 operator documents still found none. Modo wasn't in that sample, so that headline has been wrong since October 2, and we have corrected it.

Modo's operator, ARB Gaming, is separately appealing an arbitration loss to the First Circuit. We don't rank Modo. It carries a caution flag on our blacklist, and this article is about getting money out, not putting more in. If you live outside Oklahoma and want a site we do rate, start with our highest-payout sweepstakes casinos.
