Sweet Sweeps Restricted States: 10 in Terms, 9 in Rules

Sweet Sweeps publishes four different answers to the question of which US states it will not serve: its terms of use name ten, its sweepstakes rules name nine, one promotion names twelve, and the state table its own servers hand out blocks registration in exactly four. Six states its terms bar are set to allow registration on its own servers: Washington, Idaho, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey and Connecticut. Every one of the 33 brands in our database excludes the first three.

Sweet Sweeps is a Gold Coin and Sweeps Coin site run by Inimitable Solutions Ltd. of Gibraltar. It is not a brand we rank, it is not among the recently launched sweepstakes casinos we track, and it is not on our list of predatory operators either, so a player looking it up finds no guidance from us in either direction. That is the gap this piece fills. Its two governing documents were last revised on 6 May and 3 July 2026, and both were live in the versions quoted here on the day we read them. Which states does Sweet Sweeps say are restricted?

The gap between the first two is one state, and it is a consequential one. Clause 3.4 says the service "is not available to users located in Washington, Idaho, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, Louisiana, California, New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut". Section 2 of the Official Rules, the document that governs who may win a prize, opens the sweepstakes to US residents "excluding California, Connecticut, Idaho, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, or the State of New York". Washington is simply absent from the second list.

Section 7.1 then goes the other way and adds two states nothing else in the rulebook mentions: users in "California, Connecticut, Idaho, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Indiana, and Tennessee" cannot take part in or win prizes from the Sweet 15 promotion. Indiana and Tennessee are barred from that one promotion and from nothing else.

One qualification the operator writes into 7.1 itself, and it cuts against reading any of these as a closed list. The clause opens by excluding jurisdictions "where Sweepstakes promotions are prohibited, restricted, or otherwise unavailable through the Sweet Sweeps platform", and only then says "without limiting the foregoing" before naming the twelve. It closes by reserving the right "to amend the list of restricted jurisdictions at any time". The named states are a floor, not a ceiling, and a player in an unnamed state cannot read silence as permission.

Which states can sign up for Sweet Sweeps?

Sweet Sweeps' own API serves a state table at api.sweetsweeps.com. Each of its 51 US rows carries four flags: isActive, isGcState, isSignupAllowed and isLoginAllowed. Read on August 21, 2026, it blocks registration in four states.

Read that against clause 3.4 and six of the ten Restricted Territories are set to allow both registration and login. In Louisiana, Montana and New York the table stops new signups and still permits existing accounts to log in.

Two honest limits on what that table proves. It is the operator's server-side configuration as its own API reports it, not a test of the door: the site's front-end code handles a BlockedLocationErrorType separately from StateSignupNotAllowedErrorType and StateLoginNotAllowedErrorType, so an IP-level check could still turn a player away that the state table permits. And we did not open an account. This is what the configuration says, not a promise about what happens when a real player from Boise tries.

Why does Washington matter more than the rest?

Because nobody else in this category treats it as optional. Every one of the 33 brands in our verified database names Washington in its own excluded-states list, along with Idaho and Michigan. All three sit among the 13 states operators block without a sweepstakes ban on the books, and no brand we track treats any of the three as a judgement call. That is what makes the omission in section 2 stand out. Washington is not a state operators in this category treat as a judgement call, and it is named in the Terms, in the help centre and in the Sweet 15 promotional clause. The one document it is missing from is the one that decides who is eligible to win a prize.

Is a contradictory state list unusual?

No, and that is the point. We have found the same pattern at Thrillzz, whose ten list-bearing legal pages split 15 states against 20, at McLuck, which publishes a third restricted-state list, at Spree, whose live contract, ID check and location check name 17, 15 and 16 states, and at High 5 Casino, whose help page still listed Iowa as available after Iowa closed. What makes Sweet Sweeps different is that we could read the enforcement layer as well as the paperwork, and the two do not line up.

Can Sweet Sweeps void your coins if you signed up from a barred state?

If you are in one of the six states the Terms bar and the state table allows, understand what you would be relying on. Clause 3.4 is not decoration, and clause 3.10 spells out what it is for. Where Sweet Sweeps determines or "reasonably suspects" that a user has violated the eligibility requirements or "attempted to access restricted parts of the Service from a Restricted Territory", it may, "to the fullest extent permitted by law", suspend or terminate the account, "void or remove Virtual Coins", cancel promotional participation and "deny any transaction, promotional benefit, or request connected to the violation".

Read that against clause 3.4 and the position is straightforward. The fact that the signup form accepts you is not a finding that you were eligible, and the clause that voids coins is triggered by the operator's own suspicion rather than by anything it has to prove. A balance built in one of those six states is a balance the operator has already written down a reason not to pay.
